The Turning Point Program provides women and men who have completed a short term residential program the opportunity to further enhance and strengthen their recovery program. It is a structured, safe, sober environment which functions as a transition point for individuals to gradually integrate back into the community. Turning Point provides a three phased program. Residents are helped to find employment while they participate in the program, which consists of group and individual counseling, attendance at Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous meetings, and involvement in an intensive relapse prevention track. Length of stay is variable depending on need. The major focus of the program is to facilitate the development of recovery supports in the community, as well as integration back into community life in general.
The program, staff, and clients are significantly networked into the recovery community, which provides recovery supports for individuals while in treatment, and most importantly, post treatment.
